The Doctoral program at UC Law School is a rigorous academic experience that leads the challenge of training independent researchers of excellence for Chile and the continent. For this purpose, it relies on a doctoral faculty composed of distinguished professors educated in a variety of the most prestigious universities in the world to collaborate as thesis advisers in four main research areas: Private Law, Public Law, Criminal Law, and Philosophy and History of Law.
The program receives annually applications among the best Chilean and foreign candidates in a close environment, promoting legal research with public and private impact. The students have the support of Universidad Católica community, its professors and all the human and technical resources available to develop high quality research, as well as access to the resources of one of the most complete libraries on the continent.
